Personal Care Services
All caregivers are trained, background-checked, and supervised professionals who uphold the highest standards of care, confidentiality, and respect.
Safe, dignified bathing tailored to each client's preferences and physical abilities โ full baths, showers, sponge baths, and hair washing. Caregivers are trained in the use of shower chairs, grab bars, and other assistive equipment. Privacy and dignity are maintained at all times.
Hair brushing and styling, oral hygiene, shaving, nail care, skin moisturizing, and personal care product application โ all performed with respect for individual preferences and dignity.
Help selecting appropriate clothing and getting dressed safely โ upper and lower body dressing, managing buttons and fasteners, footwear, and applying orthopedic supports or compression stockings as directed by a healthcare provider.
Nutritious, balanced meals planned and prepared in accordance with dietary preferences, cultural backgrounds, and medically prescribed restrictions. Includes menu planning, grocery list assistance, cooking, food storage, and light kitchen clean-up.
Vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, bathroom and kitchen cleaning, laundry, linen changes, trash removal, and organizing living areas โ creating a safe, clean environment with minimal disruption and full respect for the client's home.
Safe, reliable transportation to medical appointments, therapy, specialist visits, prescription pick-up, grocery shopping, and social engagements. Caregivers assist with vehicle entry/exit and accompany clients when requested.
Meaningful conversation, shared activities, reading, games, puzzles, and hobbies that address the social and emotional needs of clients experiencing isolation or loneliness. Caregivers accompany clients on walks, community events, and outings.
Timely, consistent verbal reminders to help clients take prescribed medications on schedule. Our caregivers do not administer medications. All concerns are documented and communicated promptly to family members or healthcare providers.
Attentive overnight presence for clients requiring round-the-clock monitoring, safety checks, and support โ providing both the client and family with genuine peace of mind through the night.
Specialized support and resources for veterans and their families, including assistance navigating VA benefits, transportation to VA appointments, and compassionate companionship for veterans living independently.
Behavioral Health Support
At Peace recognizes that emotional and behavioral well-being is just as important as physical health. All behavioral health services are non-clinical and non-medical, delivered in compliance with Texas HHSC guidelines for PAS agencies. We complement โ never replace โ the care provided by licensed mental health professionals.
A consistent, compassionate presence for clients experiencing anxiety, grief, loneliness, or emotional distress. Through attentive listening and meaningful companionship, caregivers offer steady support that promotes security and well-being.
Non-clinical support for clients with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive decline โ calm structured communication, gentle redirection, routine reinforcement, and safety monitoring. Caregivers follow care plans developed with family and the healthcare team.
Trained observation and documentation of behavioral patterns, mood changes, and shifts in daily functioning โ communicated promptly to family, case managers, or licensed healthcare providers to support continuity of care.

All behavioral health services provided by At Peace โ In Home Care are non-clinical and non-medical, delivered in strict compliance with Texas HHSC guidelines for Personal Assistance Services (PAS) agencies. We do not provide and are not licensed to provide psychotherapy, psychological counseling, psychiatric treatment, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or any other clinical mental health service. Families seeking clinical behavioral health services should consult a licensed mental health professional or contact Texas HHSC for referral.
